News:
On May 2nd. Dr. Richard Gaillardetz, professor of religious
studies at the Toledo University, gave the annual Damasus Winzen
Memorial Lecture. He shared his perspective on theology in front
of an interested crowd of friends of Mount Saviour. We mailed our
Dedication Day Letter containing news since
the last Chronicle and the
projects that are in the planning phase. The lambing season went
smoothly with 225 lambs from 128 ewes. The coyotes are not in the
field this year but we are watching bald eagles that are nesting nearby
and have developed an appetite for young lambs. On the
last Saturday of May, the shearing operation went fast with 3 shearers
and many helpers or onlookers. By 2 p.m. most of the work was
finished.
