High winds brought with them a balmy temperature of 66 degrees on the 12th but also created property damage. A window and door were blown out of Saint Peter’s barn plus siding was ripped off a guest house. Brother Thomas ended his novitiate on the 14th by mutual agreement and returned to his diocese in Kentucky. Please remember him in prayer as he continues his discernment.
Brother
Mark was admitted to hospital on the 15th for tests after experiencing
chest pains. He remained there six days. Thankfully nothing serious was
found wrong. What resulted was a change in medications and recommendations
for a heart healthy diet. While Brother Mark was otherwise occupied, the
brothers celebrated Brother Antonio’s name day on the 17th and the Knitter’s
Group arrived for their retreat until the 20th. At the end of the month
a new water well was being dug. The original well was put out of commission
when it received a direct lightning strike in the fall.
