Lawn mowing commenced in earnest on the 25th which is the same day Br.
Michael applied the first spray to the fruit trees in the orchard. Br.
Savio who was with us for a two-week spring break returned to school on
the 26th to complete his last few weeks of seminary work before graduation
in May. We were delighted to have Abbot Anselm Atkinson of Pluscarden Abbey
in Scotland with us for a few days at the end of the month. Our “Scottish
Blackface” sheep are a familiar sight to him as they cling to the barren
crags on the hillsides back home. On the final day of the month, Brother
Pierre informed us that the number of new lambs born so far this month
stands at 121 and climbing.
