Mount Saviour Monastery
July 2016
News:
On July 2nd., Br. Bruno celebrated his 50th anniversary of Solemn Profession.
During the mass, he renewed his vows by reading his chart of profession
that he signed fifty years ago. A reception with refreshments was
served for those who attended the special mass and a dinner was shared
by 80 friends and relatives in the refectory. On July 10th, Br. John
and Br. Luke returned from England after visiting some of the monasteries
of the English Province of the Subiaco-Cassinese Congragation. The
month of July was very dry and the pastures were turning yellow.
The sheep kept escaping to taste "greener pastures" and the coyotes made
more visits than in prior months for a free meal in the flock. At
the end of the month, Fr. James showed signs of a stroke and was moved
to the hospital. He will receive physical therapy to regain strenght
before coming back to the monastery.
