Mount Saviour Monastery

December 2015
Crêche 2015, Mount SaviourNews:
We mailed our Christmas Chronicle and we are grateful for the many donations we received to pay for our new sidewalk and stairs to the chapel.  On December 5th, a large crowd of Friends of the Monastery attended the funeral and burial of Enrique Govantes.  On the feast of Our Lady of Guadelupe, Dec. 12th, Br. Antonio Bravo-Lara, a Mexican monk of Christ in the Desert, transferred his stability and became a member of the Mount Saviour community.  Br. Francis-Michael Zelinski made his simple vows in the evening.  Br. Dominic Savio came back from the seminary to spend the Christmas break among us.  A large crowd, including many children attended the first Vespers of Christmas which is followed by the blessing of the Crêche, designed by Br. Dominic Savio.

Happy New Year
