News:
On December 7th, Br. Teresio, a native of Kenya, was received
as a novice. Two days later, Br. Luke (John Zimnicky) made
his simple profession. The Prior was in New York City from
Dec. 11th to the 14th for the Oblates' meeting. On Dec. 21st.
Br. Antonio visited his family in Mexico and stopped to visit Christ
in the Desert for a few days. He is scheduled to have heart surgery
at the end of January. On Christmas Eve, we had our annual blessing
of the Creche following Vespers with many children in attendance.
The evenings after Christmas Day are marked with special recreations to
honor the feastday of Br. Stephen, Br. John and Br. David
(in absentia) and one evening to sing Christmas Carols with all the guests.
Fr. Michael Perry spent a week among us to celebrate mass while
the Prior was visiting his family and preparing a coming retreat.
We had a New Year's Eve celebration prepared by Fr. Michael. Our
sincere thanks to our friends and benefactors for their generosity during
the year.
