News:
We had our traditional picnic on the 4th of July with our guests and
some neighbors. The main parking lot was redone on July 14th and
some repairs on the road will be completed. The monks were invited
to spend a quiet day by the Finnertys at their cottage on Lake Wanita.
On July 18th, Br. Antonio was hospitalized and had surgery to fix his gall
bladder problem. The weather temperature reached 104 degrees and
we had many days in the 90 degrees. On Saturday, July 30th, We had
a funeral mass and the burial of our oblate, Bill Drohan. His family
and many friends were present for the occasion and reminisced the years
when he was in charge of the Fall Festival.
