Epiphany High TeaMount Saviour Monastery

January 2001

News:
On Epiphany Sunday, the monks went to St. Gertrude's guest house for "high tea" after the British custom.  The picture shows Br. Stephen, Br. James Cronen, Maureen Cadley (in charge of the house), Br. Alexis, Br. John and Br. William.  It was a relaxing day to end the Christmas festivities.  On January 13th, our annual retreat was conducted by Abbot Jerome Codell from New Subiaco, Arkansas.  The theme of the retreat was theWay  with its many meaning.  The way to salvation and eternal peace takes us in the wilderness and the desert; we need to trust in our guide, Christ, because we cannot control the obstacles.  During the journey, we are distracted and forget our destination.  With faith, hope and love, we can control our attitude and enjoy peace of mind.  On January 24th, we joined many monasteries who have a web domain for their home pages: msaviour.org which is easier to remember.  We are grateful to John Murtari and his company, The Software Workshop in Syracuse NY for hosting our web page.
